I look forward to the day where I can use an EBM (Esspresso Book Machine) in my own home town. I’ve already researched and seen that Seattle, a 4 hour drive away, has two of them, I even thought of driving down just to print some of my own books with their machine, but after hearing this I bet there will be one in my city before I know it. That would be so awesome! Thanks for the great interview Mike.
I have mixed feelings about the Espresso. One of the two ways that I pick books to read is by picking them up and flipping through them. That doesn’t quite work when there isn’t anything to flip.
I haven’t seen one yet, but I know what you mean. Authors and publishers will have to do something else to maintain that experience. Maybe social media, maybe some other method. I’m still looking forward to seeing an Espresso machine. Even better if one of my books can be purchased from it.
