Jennifer Rahn is the author of two novels, The Longevity Thesis and Wicked Initiations, and has two short stories published or accepted; the first is ElectroFunkSepukku, which appeared in Dragon Moon’s Podthology, and the second is Metal Rat and the Brand New Jungle, which is slated to appear in the inaugural edition of Space Puppet Press’ Strange Worlds anthology. She wrote her first novel, The Longevity Thesis, while in grad school and vehemently denies that her graduate supervisors resemble in any way, the villain of her novel — it’s just for fun. She’s still academically active and enjoys writing and kickboxing when not in the lab. She talks about her books, how she fits her writing into a life that includes a full-time job and how she goes about promoting her books.

In the feedback section of the show I talk about some of the first things I learned in my writing course and why they have been so useful to me.

I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for listening.

In this episode we talk to author, podcaster and Dragon Moon Press Art Director Alex White about his writing and his work for Dragon Moon Press creating covers for their artists.

I also talk about the merit of merit badges and there is a new eMagazine in town: Flying Island Press is currently accepting submissions.

And don’t forget to visit Paulette Jaxton at http://empresssword.com. Paulette purchased a sponsorship as part of the Boom Effect auction. Even if she hadn’t I would recommend her podcast. It is well worth listening to.

Thanks for listening.

Support a Great Author & Podcaster

Posted by: Michell    in Irreverent Muse

Before you ask, I’m not talking about me. :)

PG Holyfield, who wrote and podcast ‘Murder at Avedon Hill’ is releasing the print version of the story at 10:00 AM Eastern Time today in an Amazon rush.

The story is a combination of Fantasy and Murder Mystery and is chock full of interesting characters, rich setting and enough twists and turns to keep you reading to the end. I’ve listened to it and enjoyed it a great deal and I think you might too.

Give PG (and your friendly neighborhood Dragon Moon Press) some support by going to Amazon.com today at 10:00 AM (EST) and order your copy today. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1897492103?ie=UTF8&tag=wwwdragonmo0e-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=1897492103

Your support will show the publishing community that there is something to this podcasting thing and it will give future podcast authors a leg up to achieving publication. And, as I said, it is a great story.
